At Saint Francis, you are never alone on your academic journey. We’re here to offer you the tools and resources you need to succeed academically, whether it’s assistance with everyday assignments, preparing for an exam, or writing a research paper.

Academic Support Services at Saint Francis

Our general academic support services and resources include: 

  • Tutoring, including peer tutoring (online and in person)
  • Study skills resources
  • Mentoring for Academic Progress (MAP)
  • CHANCE (Connecting for Holistic Achievement in a New College Environment)
  • Writing Center
  • Emergency case management support

Tutoring and Writing Center appointments can be arranged through mySF.

Student Disability Services

Saint Francis provides free, coordinated services for students with documented disabilities and accessibility needs. These arrangements could include: 

  • Textbooks and course materials in alternative formats
  • Assistive technology such as screen readers and smart pens
  • Testing accommodations, such as alternative exam sites

TRIO Support Services 

The University of Saint Francis participates in TRIO, a federally funded college opportunity program that motivates and supports students in their pursuit of a college degree. In particular, TRIO provides outreach and services to students from various backgrounds. 

To be eligible for TRIO, students must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Be enrolled full-time and in pursuit of their first bachelor’s degree at Saint Francis
  • Plus, meet one or more of the following qualifications:
    • Be a first-generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor’s degree)
    • Meet federal income guidelines
    • Have a documented disability registered with Student Accessibility Services
