The University of Saint Francis is the perfect place to call home. Our vibrant community speaks for itself with over 30 student clubs and organizations, a full schedule of student events and activities, leadership opportunities and more.
Allied Health, Sciences and Medical Studies
A club for all nature and Earth lovers, all majors, all degrees. We hold an Eco Fair each Earth Day, work in the native prairie and wooded area, clean up Mirror Lake, have field trips/group hikes and commune in Franciscan values. We uphold the idea of reciprocity, which means healing the self through healing the Earth, during Eco Therapy Thursdays and Fridays.
The Kinesiology and Nutrition Club (KAN) is a student-led club that provides career exploration, campus awareness, and student community in relationship to kinesiology and nutrition topics and events with a unique focus on health, wellness and diversity.
The Physician Assistant Student Society is an organization that is run by physician assistant students and designed to further students’ knowledge about the physician assistant profession, as well as initiating community education about the profession. The PA Student Society mirrors Saint Francis’ SAAAPA (Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants) organization in terms of structure, function, appointed officers, membership, activities, requirements, etc. Membership and officer appointment is re-established each academic year.
The Pre-Dental Society (PDS) is a group that seeks to provide the best experience for its members and community by teaching more about dental practices. PDS will help increase members’ chances of getting into dental school. We meet as needed on Friday afternoons, and may also sanction a trip to see IU Dental School each year.
The Pre-Physician Assistant Club is a social club for pre-PA majors to build relationships and growth opportunities to better prepare for graduate school. Join us to explore the PA profession, learn from physician assistants and healthcare professionals, learn about PA school and applications and build connections and friendships.
The Pre-Professional Healthcare Honor Society exists to provide a central resource for all health-related pre-professional students. The group is comprised of pre-medicine, pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, pre-physician assistant and pre-veterinarian students.
The goals of the Pre-Professional Healthcare Honor Society include sharing information regarding professional school application and standardized test preparation, creating a database of job shadowing opportunities, volunteer and mission work and extracurricular activities beneficial to students’ curriculum vitae.
Welcome to Sigma Pi Chemistry Club! Our club strives to demonstrate fun ways to enjoy science through hosting campus-wide events, being active members that work to improve the campus and Fort Wayne communities through servitude, uniting science students, bringing change to inspire the youth with fascinating science and rewarding loyalty and involvement with a variety of free foods.
This club is open to anyone on campus, regardless of major.


Business and Leadership
The Finance Club and Investment Society is dedicated to supporting students’ educational growth, professional growth and ethical decision-making in the field of finance while providing networking opportunities. This organization encourages and stimulates interest in finance through corporate presentations, workshops, field trips and other unique opportunities.
Everyone is welcome! Public Relations Society is a professional development club that helps students learn about public relations and communication. We promote others and plan fun projects.
The Women in Business Society (WiBS) is dedicated to supporting women’s educational, professional and personal growth. This will be accomplished through high-engagement networking, learning and leadership initiatives and opportunities and direct access to a supportive and encouraging women’s business community. The organization works tirelessly to build confidence and camaraderie among its members through a variety of unique activities.
Campus Life
Intramural Sports seeks to foster a competitive recreational environment and promote wellness for students with a wide range of athletic abilities. We provide organized sports and recreation leagues, weekend events and tournaments.
Throughout the year, our student Resident Assistants (RAs) host an array of monthly events designed to help residents build connections, create meaningful community and step outside of their comfort zone to try new things. These events range from craft nights to cookouts, as well as social and faith-centered gatherings that encourage students to engage with one another, grow in their relationship with God and feel at home on campus.
The Office of Residential Life and Housing is here to provide residents with a safe, welcoming and engaging residential experience. Our team consists of professional staff members and student Resident Assistants (RAs) who support the day-to-day operations of our residence halls while also serving as mentors to students of all class levels.
The Saint Francis Red Cross Club (SFRCC) aims to encourage student involvement in American Red Cross blood drives on campus. Participation in the blood drives will serve those in need of life-saving blood product donations and unite the campus community in this common goal.
The Student Government Association represents the student body of the University of Saint Francis through integrity, leadership and servitude. Our goal is to enhance the life of every student. Members of SGA are exposed to various experiential learning opportunities, from budgeting and program planning to leadership retreats, conferences and social networking.
Our Student Leadership Program cultivates a community of competent, compassionate leaders who develop their individual strengths, apply essential leadership skills and embody Saint Francis’ Catholic mission and core values.


Creative Arts
The American Advertising Federation (AAF) is the “Unifying Voice for Advertising,” with more than 150 local clubs around the United States. The AAF provides student members with opportunities to gain valuable insights into the world of advertising, make connections with industry professionals and discover internship and job opportunities that will propel your advertising career forward.
The Saint Francis Cougar Dance Club is a place where all dancers of all skill levels are welcome! We do monthly meetings exploring different dance styles, as well as host events with other organizations.
Welcome to Design Space! We are the Saint Francis graphic design club, a creative and supportive club where you can connect with others who love graphic design. Our meetings are all about learning and having fun together, but also where you can share your artwork and designs, receive constructive feedback from fellow designers outside of your classes and provide feedback to others.
Our meetings are a mix of design sprints, entering contests, fun design-related games and more! We are always open to new members, and we aim to be a safe space for everyone who is interested in design.
The f/8 Photo Club brings together passionate photographers for epic photoshoots, creative workshops, community engagement and hands-on projects that will look amazing in your portfolio. Connect with fellow photo enthusiasts, experiment with new techniques and capture unforgettable moments across campus and beyond.
This club is open to all Saint Francis students, staff and photography alumni who want to level up their photography game and share knowledge.
Join us for movie discussions, project showcases, games, past professors and alumni guest speakers, group club projects and more. Anyone is welcome regardless of your major!
Have an interest in video games? Ever wondered how they’re made? In this club, we dissect the game making process as well as appreciate what makes a good game. We even make our own! If you’re not an art student, don’t worry. We have a very casual approach that will ease everyone of any skill level into the process of development and help give them the skills and tools they need to succeed. Come join us!
This club is open to all majors and interested individuals.
Founded by the University of Saint Francis in 1978, the Jesters is an inter-generational, interdisciplinary performing arts program for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DDs), ages 8 to senior citizens. The purpose of the Jesters is to enhance quality of life for people with I/DDs by engaging them in the creative arts.
The vision is to help them develop self-expression, self-esteem, socialization, and other life skills while providing learning opportunities to the Saint Francis community and the community at large.
This one-of-a-kind program runs from September to March, providing over 20 weeks of customized arts education activities, including Movement/Dance, Music (instrumental and voice), Theatre, Animation, Storytelling, Visual Arts, and Improvisation.
Mudslingers Ceramics Club is focused on exploring and learning about clay, one of the oldest mediums involved in art. We provide a relaxed, social environment with lots of fun activities for both art and non-art majors. Our focus as a club is to provide students with different experiences ranging from demonstrations, visiting artist workshops, conference trips and different methods of firing.
This club is open to everyone, no matter your major or level of skill. Come make some friends and get your hands dirty making something amazing!
Encouraged attendance for music technology majors. Tuesdays are our Beat of the Week, where students of any major can come and show their work of any music or project related to music, post-production, live sound, etc. that they have done to the group! In our regularly scheduled Thursday meetings, we discuss events and activities happening in the department, have department parties and celebrate our students. We also have periodic field trips, game nights, social events and speakers from some of the leading creative professionals in our city and beyond.
Welcome to Print Club! This club exists to expose campus to all means of printmaking. Our weekly meetings include open studio time in the print room to expand our work in the medium. This includes all means of print: relief, etching, screen print and beyond!
Humanities and Culture
Alpha Theta Epsilon (ATE) is the Saint Francis chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society for educators. KDP was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.
This society is open to qualified undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty members and other professional educators affiliated with the University of Saint Francis.
Educators in Action (EIA) is an organization geared towards elementary, secondary and special education majors. The organization participates in service and social activities on campus around and in the Fort Wayne area. Members of EIA gain exposure in the teaching profession, increase their education leadership skills and build a strong community of future teachers.
Lux Book Club is exactly what it sounds like. We read books and talk about them, but more than that, we have a lot of fun. Our discussions are completely separate from coursework and school books—we roast the books, we gush over the books and we vote on our review of the book. We also watch movies and host events to treat the new age of books as a party. Join any time, with no requirements!
The St. Benedict the Moor Justice Center promotes campus-wide spaces for transformation and impact by providing a welcoming environment, support services, leadership development opportunities and a variety of activities and events for all members of the campus community.
The Justice Center is also a place for fun, relaxation and community. Attend an event (karaoke is popular!), stop by to watch premiere league soccer, study or take a break. We’re here for you.
Welcome to the United Culture Association (UCA)! We are a club that brings light to the diverse cultures present on campus by planning events that showcase those differences. We embrace them within our events, allowing people to get a sense of cultural experiences and take in new knowledge. We invite anyone to join!


Human Services and Community Care
Cougars for Life was founded in October of 2019 to organize and activate pro-life students on campus. Members of Cougars for Life work to protect life from conception to natural death, particularly those lives threatened by abortion, infanticide, embryonic stem cell research and euthanasia. In furtherance of these goals, members seek to promote respect for life at Saint Francis and on a local, state and national level, to educate on life issues, to help those in need so that life is a promising choice and to work with others who share common goals.
Our mission is to broaden students’ understanding and familiarity with the criminal justice system by organizing and conducting seminars, demonstrations and field trips (including the Allen County Courthouse, prisons around the state, public safety academy, various criminal justice agencies and fire stations) and sponsoring guest speakers (including police officers, attorneys, probation officers, crime scene technicians and detectives).
Criminologists in Action (CIA) is very active with spreading social justice awareness throughout campus, such as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Oct. and Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Apr. This year, we will also recognize Human Trafficking Awareness Month in Jan. and Child Abuse Prevention Month in Apr.
This club is open to all majors.
Get Psyched is a club for all students to learn more about psychology and mental health. Our meetings are relaxed and open to all majors and are a space to build community and plan fun events. We can’t wait to see you there!
Sigma Eta is the Saint Francis chapter of Phi Alpha International Honor Society, an organization for social work students. Membership provides many benefits, including boosting your resume, providing access to scholarships and awards, receiving a membership certificate and receiving an honor cord to wear with your graduation regalia.
The Social Work Club exemplified student leadership by serving our communities, promoting social justice and supporting the professional development of social workers.
This club is open to all majors.
Nursing
The Graduate Student Nurse Association (GSNA) serves to represent graduate nursing students to the University at large and serve as a liaison between students and administration. GSNA’s purpose is to be a voice for graduate nursing students and to provide resources and opportunities. GSNA is led by elected members from the student body. All students in the MSN program are included in membership by attending the graduate program.
The Student Nurse Association (SNA) is a student-run organization for nursing majors that encompasses every enrolled nursing student at Saint Francis! We host frequent events and activities to get connected with other nursing majors outside of your social sphere and chances to volunteer. Any nursing student is welcome to sit in on our meetings!


Student Wellness
Campus Ministry at the University of Saint Francis offers a quiet place to reflect and recharge, participation in meaningful programs and events, and a community built on faith and prayer. The building includes kitchens and common rooms in addition to offices and meeting rooms.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to use the facilities to reflect, pray, relax, study, eat, watch TV, shoot pool, play musical instruments and more.
At the University of Saint Francis, we’re committed to your entire wellbeing—physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. We also know that life can present challenges that affect our mental health. Please know, you don’t have to struggle alone.
Cougars Promoting Mental Health (CPMH) is a support program designed specifically for students to help prevent suicide and substance abuse. We provide trainings, education and outreach to students.
At Saint Francis, you are never alone on your academic journey. The Cupertino Student Success Center is here to offer you the tools and resources you need to succeed academically, whether it’s assistance with everyday assignments, preparing for an exam or writing a research paper.
The TRIO Student Support Services program is committed to helping first-generation students, income-eligible students and students with disabilities to achieve a bachelor’s degree. TRIO provides opportunities for academic development, mentoring, positive study habits and academic success that help students complete their degrees. All services are free!
We provide supplemental academic advising, college success workshops, resume and cover letter assistance, grant aid and scholarship opportunities, referrals to on- and off-campus services and self-advocacy and goal-setting development.
