Cougars Promoting Mental Health

Cougars Promoting Mental Health

It’s simple: At the University of Saint Francis, we’re committed to your entire wellbeing—physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.

We also know that life can present challenges that affect our mental health. Please know, you don’t have to struggle alone.

Cougars Promoting Mental Health (CPMH) is a support program designed specifically for students. CPMH connects students to local resources, organizations and providers that:

  • Prevent suicide
  • Stop substance use and abuse
  • Provide support and healing for a wide range of mental health issues

How It Works

The following list of community and faith-based resources was developed for Saint Francis students to access.

Start here. If you’re struggling, you can access the list on your own and make an appointment, or reach out to Libni Trostel, CPMH Project Director for assistance:

  • Phone: 260-399-7700, ext. 6744
  • Email: Ltrostel@sf.edu
  • Office: Trinity Hall, Room 88

A Note to Mental Health Professionals

CPMH works with an advisory council of mental health professionals and organizations in Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana to ensure we’re providing services that meet students’ needs.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining the advisory council, contact Libni Trostel at Ltrostel@sf.edu.

Acknowledgements

CPMH was developed with support from the 2024-2027 Garrett Lee Smith Campus Suicide Prevention Grant Program, awarded to the University of Saint Francis of Fort Wayne by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
