Saint Francis Scholarship Competition

High-achieving high school students have a chance to secure a full- or partial-tuition scholarship through our Saint Francis Scholarship Competition.

Scholarship Competition Days will consist of two components: group interviews with faculty and staff and an essay competition. Finalists will be announced after the event, and the winners will be announced at the end of February, following the second scholarship competition date.

Pay It Forward Scholarship

At the University of Saint Francis, we believe that serving others makes the world a better place. Tell us how you have paid it forward and impacted someone else. The Pay It Forward Scholarship program awards: 

Scholarships are renewable for up to four years. 

The 2023 Pay It Forward Scholarship application has closed. This application will re-open in 2024.

Eligibility:  

The final three candidates for the full-tuition scholarship will be featured on WANE-TV. The full scholarship winner will be revealed on a WANE-TV livestream in December. Full and half-tuition scholarships cannot be combined with other Saint Francis institutional scholarships.

Franciscan Alliance Family Scholarship

Franciscan Alliance and the University of Saint Francis make up the twin ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration. Saint Francis is pleased to extend education benefits to all qualifying Franciscan Alliance coworkers and dependents at the Fort Wayne campus or Crown Point site.

University of Saint Francis extends education benefits to qualifying Franciscan Alliance (and Specialty Physicians of Ill., LLC) co-workers and dependents.

Academic Scholarships

Saint Francis values your commitment to academic performance during your high school and/or previous college experience and offers scholarships based on your high school grade point average and your scores on the ACT and SAT. Saint Francis is test-optional, but submitting test scores could make you eligible for a higher academic scholarship.

Legacy Scholarship

If your parent, sibling, grandparent, aunt or uncle, or cousin graduated from the University of Saint Francis, you are eligible for this scholarship. For the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years, first-time students receive a $500 scholarship (up to four years) for continuing the family tradition.

Antoinette Murray Scholarship

The Antoinette Murray Scholarship is a renewable scholarship valued at up to $5,000 annually. Students who meet the following conditions are eligible to apply.

Creative Arts Talent Scholarships

Current high school seniors and transfer students have the opportunity to submit a portfolio for review and/or audition for scholarship consideration in music technology, dance, studio art, graphic design, art education, animation, pre-art therapy, and choir.

Awarded scholarships are renewable for eight semesters if the required grade point average is maintained, in addition to any academic scholarships or needs-based grants a student might also receive.

The University of Saint Francis is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Founded in 1944, NASAD establishes national standards for art and design undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials.

Endowed Scholarships

The University of Saint Francis has many donors who generously provide endowed scholarships for undergraduate students with varying criteria. The following scholarships have separate applications, while the rest can be applied to on the general Endowed Scholarship Application.
