How to apply as a transfer student

Our transfer process is simple! Start by completing our online application. If you’ve completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at another college and are not applying as a student-athlete or to a program in the College of Health Sciences, your college transcripts are sufficient for application.

Once you’ve applied, we’ll help you maximize your application and get the most out of the courses you’ve already completed. Here’s how:

  • A Saint Francis admissions counselor will help evaluate what existing credits may be eligible for transfer after reviewing your transcript.
  • Coursework from an accredited institution, for which a C or above was earned, can count toward your Saint Francis degree.
  • If you earned credit from Ball State, Indiana Tech, Purdue University Fort Wayne, Ivy Tech or Trine University, see their guidelines for information on commonly transferred courses.
  • Saint Francis has articulation agreements with other institutions to facilitate the completion of an advanced degree.

We invest in transfer students

Saint Francis offers generous scholarship opportunities for transfer students. In addition to eligibility for the Catholic and Creative Arts Talent Scholarships, the Transfer Scholarship offers up to $10,000 per year to transfer students based on their cumulative GPA.
