The Graduate School at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind., enrolls approximately 320 students in its 15 degree and certification programs in art, business, education, environmental science, school and mental health counseling, nursing, physician assistant, theology, and psychology. In the past two decades, more than 5,000 graduate degrees have been conferred.

History of the USF Graduate School

The Graduate School at the University of Saint Francis was established in 1960 with the introduction of programs leading to the Master of Arts and Master of Science in Education degrees. In 1961, the university received preliminary accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and in 1971 received full accreditation. Currenty the USF Graduate School offers degrees designed to meet the needs and schedules of working adults.

Accreditation

The Graduate School at the University of Saint Francis is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Indiana State Department of Education, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), and The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). All USF business programs, including the MBA, are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
