Bio

Jordan is an audio engineer and audiovisual systems professional whose career brings together professional audio, technology, music, media and service. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering from the University of Saint Francis and began his professional career at Sweetwater Sound. Since then, his work has spanned recording, live sound, podcast production, audio restoration and mastering, audiovisual systems integration and technology consulting. Jordan has designed and consulted on AV systems for churches, schools and other organizations, working from system design and equipment selection through networking, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and training. His professional work has also included his time as Founder and President of Heard LLC, where he toured as a sound engineer with Scythian and helped produce and restore audio for Catholic media organizations including Pints with Aquinas, the Hildebrand Legacy Project’s The Lily podcast and the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology. He brings this broad industry experience into the classroom with a practical emphasis on understanding not only how technology works, but how to use it well.

As a Catholic, Jordan sees music and technology as opportunities to serve others, cultivate beauty and tell meaningful stories. He is informed by the Catholic intellectual tradition and by writers such as G.K. Chesterton and St. John Paul II, particularly their reflections on the human person, creativity, beauty and vocation. Jordan believes that excellence in a technical craft is ultimately an act of service: good engineering enables musicians, artists, filmmakers, communicators and communities to do their work more fully.
