Assistant Professor of Accounting

Bio

Prof. Smith strives to meet students where they are and help them achieve their academic and career goals. He is passionate about guiding Accounting majors and non-majors to a deeper understanding of the critical role quantitative plays in the world of business. He takes pride in seeing graduates of the program achieve the Certified Public Accountant, or trusted business advisor, designation.

Prof. Smith earned a BA from Manchester University and an MBA from the University of Saint Francis.

  • Allen County Financial Stability Task Force, 2014-present
    • Organizes the annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in Allen County, where USF students become certified and volunteer their service 
  • Member, Board of Governors, Fort Wayne Chapter of Institute of Internal Auditors, 2014-2022
