FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Discovery Academy at the University of Saint Francis is accepting registrations for its fall programs.
Registration deadline is Sept. 11 for these programs. Those interested can learn more and register at camps.sf.edu. All three programs will be held at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communications Center, 1014 St. Francis Drive.
Youth Art Academy
Saturdays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 14, 9 to 11 a.m.
This program for grades 3-6 allows students to explore their creativity through hands-on art lessons led by talented Saint Francis instructors. Students are grouped by grade levels (grades 3 and 4; grades 5 and 6) to ensure age-appropriate instruction.
Tuition: $160
Fall Animation Club
Saturdays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 14, 9 to 11 a.m.
Students in grades 8 through 12 will learn real animation techniques and work with professional equipment to create 2D animated clips, characters and logos. Students will develop storyboards, explore their own creative ideas and collaborate as a team to bring both their vision and client needs to life. No previous animation experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Fall Film Club
Saturdays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 14, noon to 2 p.m.
Students in grades 8 through 12 will build their media skills while learning to use real film equipment and professional techniques to create a short documentary. Students will scout locations, set up shots, develop interview questions and work together as a production team to bring their creative vision and client needs to life. No previous filmmaking experience is required, and all materials are provided.
