FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis encourages runners and walkers to register for the 16th annual Formula for Life 5K, set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 at the campus, 2701 Spring Street.
The 5K will include awards in many categories. Formula for Life will award a cash prize of $1,000 to a Saint Francis student who is registered for the event and present for the drawing. Each participant in the 5K may submit an entry for a registered eligible student. Students can increase their chances for the cash drawing by encouraging family and friends to participate in the 5K.
Participants may register by visiting RunReg.com. The $15 registration fee includes a T-shirt and light lunch. Registration is also available the day of the run.
Proceeds from the run will be used for:
- Basic needs for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Orphanage in Haiti.
- Purchasing medications for New Hope Hospital in Haiti.
- Supplementing supplies needed for a Saint Francis medical/veterinary trip to the Dominican Republic.
