Saint Francis Scholarship Competition to award multiple scholarships to high school seniors

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis announces the inaugural Saint Francis Scholarship Competition to reward high-achieving high school class of 2024 seniors who choose to pursue higher education at Saint Francis.

Saint Francis will award full-tuition scholarships to two students (worth more than $140,000 over four years), $28,000 scholarships to 10 students and $1,000 scholarships to all other competition attendees. All awardees will also carry the honor of being named Saint Francis Scholars, signifying their academic commitment and achievement.

“The University of Saint Francis continues to encourage and reward academic excellence among today’s high school students as they embark upon higher education,” Interim President Dr. Lance Richey said. “The Saint Francis Scholarship Competition will allow next year’s incoming students the opportunity to capitalize on their commitment to excellence, and we can’t wait to welcome these academic standouts to our campus.”

The invitation-only competition will invite current high school seniors, based on their high school GPA, who are accepted to the University of Saint Francis by Nov. 3, 2023.

Competitions will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center, with invited students choosing which date to attend.

Interested students must be accepted to Saint Francis by Nov. 3 and can apply at go.sf.edu/apply. Accepted students who are then invited to the competition will be contacted with further details.
