FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Seven upcoming graduates of the University of Saint Francis announced their career paths at a Signing Day event with Parkview Health on the USF campus on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The students will graduate in December.

The students making their plans public with their Parkview unit destination are:

Jaleesa Armour, Parkview Heart Institute, Parkview Regional Medical Center

McKenzie Berry, Ortho Trauma, Parkview Ortho Hospital

Emma Browning, English Progressive Care, Parkview Hospital Randallia

Madison Mitchell, Obstetrics, Parkview Regional Medical Center

Karenia Pratcher, Medical Surgical, Parkview Regional Medical Center

Tierra Purdy, Emergency Care, Parkview Regional Medical Center

Christopher Stephenson, First Year RN Rotation, Parkview Regional Medical Center

Two other students who signed with Parkview Health but were unable to attend the event were Joyceann Platter (First Year RN Rotation, Parkview Regional Medical Center) and Rebecca Schrensky (Emergency Care, Parkview Hospital Randallia).

“We had a lot of students and families today, and that’s indicative of what happens when someone is in nursing school. You always say it’s a team effort, and it is, and it’s very rigorous,” said Erin LaCross, Parkview Health Senior Vice President, Professional Nursing Development and a USF alumna. “Whatever we can do on our end of their program to celebrate the work they’ve put in, in addition to celebrating the fact they’ve chosen the Parkview team, we want to do that. We can’t thank Saint Francis enough. It’s been a great partnership.”
