FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis invites students entering eighth through 12th grade this fall to attend “A Passport to Hawaii for Healthcare,” a two-day summer camp highlighting career opportunities in health sciences.
The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Monday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 7 at the Doermer Family Center for Health Science Education on the USF campus, 2701 Spring Street. Registration is $50 (including lunch and camp supplies). Scholarships reducing the registration fee are available for those with financial needs. Openings are limited.
Students will participate in hands-on activities that will introduce them to the concepts behind different healthcare professions. Topics will include athletic training, kinesiology, nurse practitioner, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, pre-professional healthcare, radiology, sonography, social work and surgery.
