FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis encourages runners and walkers to register for the 14th Annual Formula for Life 5K, set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 at USF, 2701 Spring Street. A virtual option is also available.
The on-site 5K will include awards in many categories. Formula for Life will award a cash prize of $1,000 to a college student or high school senior who is registered for the event and present for the drawing. Each participant in the on-site 5K may submit an entry for a registered eligible student. Students can increase their chances for the cash drawing by encouraging family and friends to participate in the on-site 5K.
Participants may register by visiting RunReg.com. The $15 registration fee includes a T-shirt and light lunch.
Proceeds for the run will be used for:
- Basic needs for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Orphanage in Haiti. Construction has been paused due to the murder of Fr. Andre Sylvestre and continued dangerous conditions in Haiti.
- Purchase of necessary equipment for a hospital in Haiti to operate a mammography machine.
- Supplementing supplies needed for a USF medical/veterinary trip to the Dominican Republic.
