FORT WAYNE, Ind. – University of Saint Francis President Rev. Dr. Eric Albert Zimmer is pleased to announce expanded academic recognition for high-achieving students.
USF adds a new semester honor, the President’s List, for distinguished undergraduate students with a 3.9 or higher GPA in a semester of six or more earned credit hours. This new honor is in addition to the current Dean’s List for semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
USF will also introduce Latin honors at the May 2021 commencement. Based on cumulative career GPA, graduates may receive status of Cum Laude (3.5 GPA or above), Magna Cum Laude (3.7 GPA or above) and Summa Cum Laude (3.9 GPA or above).
“The President’s List and Latin honors establish additional recognition for students who have achieved exemplary academic success, both in the current semester and throughout their USF careers,” Fr. Zimmer said. “Because of their commitment and dedication, these students set a foundation to enhance their communities with their lives and careers.”
The USF 2021 Commencement is scheduled for May 1, 2021. USF students who graduated in 2020 are invited to participate in the ceremony, since the 2020 commencement was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic precautions.
