CROWN POINT, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis Crown Point will begin offering an Associate Degree in Surgical Technology for the 2021-22 academic year as part of its coming expansion. Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2021.
The program gives students the knowledge, skills and connections to launch a successful career as a surgical technologist.
“I am excited to be a part of the expansion opportunity and bring the USF Surgical Technology Program to the Northwest Indiana region,” USF Surgical Technology Program Director Theresa Sorgen-Burleson said. “The longstanding reputation of the program has enabled us to exceed in accreditation benchmarks and provide exceptional graduates to many healthcare facilities in Indiana and across the country. Our goal for this expansion is to provide the same highest quality of education in surgical technology and provide an opportunity for area students to participate in an exciting and rewarding profession.”
The USF Surgical Technology Program has a 100% job-placement rate and students can take advantage of early clinical placement, starting in a clinical setting during their first semester.
Students will learn from faculty of both the Crown Point and Fort Wayne locations.
