USF announces Spring Leadership and Service Awards and special recognition of President Sister M. Elise Kriss

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis has presented its Spring Leadership and Service Awards for the 2019-2020 academic year.

As part of the awards, the Student Government Association shared a special recognition of USF President Sister M. Elise Kriss, OSF, who will retire as president after 27 years on June 30, 2020.

“On behalf of the student body and working through the Student Government Association, we want to take this opportunity to recognize your many years of service as President of the University of Saint Francis,” Margaret Mary McMurtry, Student Government Association President, said in a video presentation. “Thank you for your impact, guidance, and service. Your presence will truly be missed.”

With that recognition, the Student Emergency Fund was renamed as the Sister Elise Kriss, OSF Student Emergency Fund, and the SGA donated $5,000 to the fund.
