FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis was awarded a $12,636 Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship (NAT) grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), a division of Health and Human Services, for its Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) program.
Funds will be used for 2018-19 traineeships for second year students in the USF CRNA program. This is USF’s first NAT grant. The inaugural CRNA class began classes in fall 2017.
“We are pleased to be able to offer these funds with the help of the NAT grant,” said CRNA Program Director Dr. Marquessa Fisher. “This will offer more students the opportunity to enter this important field that is growing rapidly.”
