FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts will host a High School Summer Art Academy for students in grades 9-12, featuring both morning and afternoon sessions.
The intense, three-week art academy allows high school students to study the visual arts, work with professional artists, and develop professional portfolios for college entrance and scholarship applications. The program is highly structured, with students exploring a variety of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional media.
Both the morning and afternoon session will run July 9 – 27, Monday – Friday. The morning session will run 9 -11:30 a.m. ($100 cost) and the afternoon session will run 1 – 3:30 p.m. ($100 cost). Students may elect to sign up for one or both sessions.
The art academy will be held in the Mimi and Ian Rolland Center for Art and Visual Communications on the USF main campus, off Leesburg Road. Registration forms will be mailed out in April. To be added to the mailing list, please contact Molly McGowan at 260-399-8064.
