The university’s main campus is located at 2701 Spring Street, only 2.5 miles from downtown Fort Wayne. As Indiana’s second largest city, Fort Wayne’s proximity to campus provides students with numerous opportunities for experiential learning (internships, clinicals, field placements), along with social and recreational activities.
Situated on 132 acres of pastoral grounds, the Fort Wayne campus is a thriving hub of student learning and engagement.
Academically, students choose from more than 60 academic programs and learn in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with industry-standard technology. This includes Achatz Hall of Science, the Doermer Family Center for Health Science Education, the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art Center, and the Music Technology Center in downtown Fort Wayne, and more.
Students learn in small classes (11:1 student-to-faculty ratio) and are personally supported in their unique goals. Saint Francis faculty are known for going “above and beyond” in their support of students.
Socially, students participate in more than 30 student clubs, 20 NAIA athletic teams, and a full schedule of social activities. Popular campus facilities include the Huzell Athletic Center, Bishop John M. D’Arcy Stadium (especially on game day!), The Cougar Den, the Oratory of St. Francis (our campus chapel),and Campus Ministry.
A strong, supportive sense of community is a defining aspect of the Saint Francis experience. Our Catholic mission and values create an environment of love and acceptance. As a faith-based community, there are ample opportunities for faith development, community service and mission trips. With a strong focus on students’ holistic well-being, there are on-campus resources for physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Residential students live in one of four residence halls, which include traditional rooms, apartments and suites. Campus also hosts three on-site dining options.
