Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS)
CCAMPIS is a Department of Education program that supports low-income parents in their pursuit of higher education by offsetting child care costs. If you’re an undergraduate student at the University of Saint Francis and the parent of a child aged 6-weeks to 12 years, you may be eligible to receive significant savings on child care.
How It Works
CCAMPIS works with registered child care centers throughout the region to deliver a 70-90% discount. Costs are determined on a sliding scale.
Eligibility
To receive CCAMPIS support, you must be
- The parent of a child aged 6-weeks to 12 years and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours (full-time students receive priority)
- A full-time undergraduate student
- Pell Grant eligible (as determined by FAFSA)
- Only students enrolled at the Fort Wayne and Crown Point locations are eligible
Note: The university will email all student-parents at the start of the semester. In the meantime, feel free to contact James Smith, Project Director, at JamSmith@sf.edu if you have questions or want additional information.
Participating Child Care Centers
CCAMPIS participants have the flexibility to choose a child care provider that best fits their family’s needs. The program partners with registered child care centers throughout the region, and students are responsible for identifying a participating provider.
