CROWN POINT, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis Crown Point will have a groundbreaking ceremony on Sept. 18 for a $7 million building project.
The project will be blessed and celebrated with the groundbreaking at 10 a.m. CT on Friday, Sept. 18 at USF Crown Point, 12800 Mississippi Parkway. More than half of the funds needed for the project have been raised, including a gift from Franciscan Alliance. The addition of 19,000 square feet of academic space at USF Crown Point will double the university site’s footprint, and enrollment is also expected to double.
“We are thrilled to begin this project, which will expand our USF Crown Point academic programs and fill a need for additional quality healthcare professionals in Northwest Indiana,” said USF President Rev. Dr. Eric Albert Zimmer. “We look forward to this continued partnership with Franciscan Alliance to benefit the community.”
Media seeking to cover the groundbreaking should contact Sandie Phalen at 219-488-8887, ext. 5421, or sphalen@sf.edu.
