Komets Game—It’s a cosmic USF Alumni Night. Check out the excitement of Fort Wayne Komets hockey with a block of USF alumni, faculty and staff as they cheer the K’s toward the goal. Before the actions starts, mingle with classmates, co-workers and their families in the Century Club Room at 6:30 p.m., and enjoy complimentary food, beverages and a chance to win Komets memorabilia in a giveaway! Family Day 2012 -- ReConnect. Whether you’re an alum or a member of a USF student’s family, you’re invited to with the University of Saint Francis at the second annual Family Day. It’s a full day of exploring USF, from its school deans and faculty to its beautiful campus and buildings to its exciting athletics.
Check in from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the back entrance of the North Campus building. Go to sf.edu/familyday to view pricing, activities and events. |
| 25 | Indianapolis Alumni Networking Event - Join other Indianapolis-area alumni, families and friends for dinner in the stunning Oceans Room at the Indianapolis Zoo from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. See and touch sharks at the nation’s largest shark touch pool, and watch eels and jellyfish interact in their watery habitat. Catch up with classmates over an excellent Italian dinner, and save room for the gourmet coffee station! Don’t miss USF biology professor Dr. Larry Wiedman discussing the USF student Research discoveries over the past two decades on Andros Island Bahamas. Learn how the students are able to visit and study the third largest barrier reef in the world. Adults are $15 per person and children under 12 are $5 for the meal. | 1-28 | Easter basket collection for SCAN -- The Northeast Indiana Alumni Directors Consortium (NIADC) is hosting its annual Easter Basket Drive Mar. 1 through Mar. 28. Easter baskets collected from 10 area colleges and universities, including University of Saint Francis, will be donated to SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect). SCAN is a not-for-profit organization whose aim is to eliminate child abuse by “preparing parents and protecting children.” Established in 1974, the organization serves 13 counties in northern Indiana, including Allen County. Easter baskets will be delivered to SCAN by area Alumni Directors on Thurs., Mar. 29. |

What a great opportunity to mingle with former classmates and to view the happenings of St Patty's Day Chicago style! |
| 23, 24, 25 & 30, 31 & April 1 | The School of Creative Arts presents Steel Magnolias, a play about love, friendship, sadness, and the strength of women, directed by Brad Beauchamp. This heartwarming true story follows a group of friends who gather each week at a salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana. Tough as steel and fragile as the blossoms of magnolia trees, these hilarious characters gossip, tease, laugh, fight, cajole, and comfort each other as they go through life’s big joys and challenges. Show times are Mar. 23, 24, 30, & 31 at 8 p.m. and Mar. 25 & Apr. 1 at 2 p.m. |

Take this opportunity to bring your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews or other family members to this family-friendly show Cirque de la Symphonie at the Embassy Theater. Then walk over to the Courtyard by Marriott for an ice cream social in the main Lobby area compliments of the NIADC. |

Fort Wayne Alumni Networking Event - Fort Wayne TinCaps games at the Parkview Field. Join an exclusive area just for USF alumni at the Treetoops Rooftop Party Area at the TinCaps Stadium. Located directly down the right-field foul line, this unique seating area is modeled after the famous fixtures in the outfield at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. This area will provide a unique vantage point to take in all the baseball action. This unique opportunity is $20 per adult and $10 children (7 & under) which includes ticket to game, food throught nmost of the game and soft drinks. Pre-game food begins at 6:30 pm and game time is 7:05 p.m. Fireworks will take place after the conclusion of the baseball game. |

USF Day at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo - The Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost for adults and children ages 2 through 14 -- details to come. Children 2 and under are free. Price includes one complimentary ride on one of the following: train, sky ride, carousel, or river ride. The USF lunch and activities will be located at the Foellinger Theater lawn. A complimentary lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (sandwich, chips, fruit, drink, and cookie.) Activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a children's entertainer, balloons, and more. Tickets must be obtained through the university and cannot be purchased at the zoo. | Homecoming Cougar Spirit 5k Run/Walk - USF’s 2nd Annual 5k Run/Walk during Homecoming will give alumni and their families, USF students, and USF employees a chance to come together and Broadcast their Spirit while participating in the event. Each registered participant will receive a goodie bag filled with fun items. The cost to participate is $10 per person, $5 for USF students and children 12 and under. | 25 | Safe Trick or Treat - The sixth annual Safe Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Children from neighboring elementary schools can wear costumes and come trick or treat on the University of Saint Francis campus at the residence halls. The candy provided is all donated and "safe" for all children. Please come and join us for a fun time. |
