Ventures in Creativity—Juried Fine Art Exhibition
Through June 25
This exhibit of over 100 works by regional artists is a partnership between the Fort Wayne Artists Guild and SF Creative Arts at the John P. Weatherhead Gallery in the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center on campus. This is the 48th annual exhibition and is a tradition of the area arts community with an emphasis on painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor), drawing (pastel, graphite, ink), and sculpture (ceramics, stone, metals). FAME—Children’s Art Exhibition

FAME (The Foundation for Art & Music in Education) will be featured at the Rolland Art Center including Teacher’s Choice student awards from the annual conference. Cougar Classic
July 30 and 31
The 15th annual Cougar Classic golf outing will be held Thursday, July 30, and Friday, July 31, at Bridgewater Golf Course in Auburn, Indiana. The Cougar Classic provides scholarship dollars for student-athletes that may not otherwise be able to attend, or remain at, Saint Francis. Presidential Inauguration
Thursday, Sept. 3
The inauguration of Sister Maria Gemma Salyer, OSF, as Saint Francis’ 12th president will begin with a livestream of private Mass at the Oratory of St. Francis at 1 p.m. (People may view the livestream at Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center.) The inauguration will begin at 3 p.m. at the Hutzell Athletic Center. People may greet Sister Maria Gemma at a reception at 4 p.m. at Brookside. For more information, contact advancement@sf.edu.
Saint Francis Creative Arts Block Party
Saturday, Sept. 12
This event, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Rolland Art Center will include a major solo exhibition by renowned photographer and filmmaker Edward Burtynsky. Named by Time Magazine as the second-most influential environmentalist in the world, Burtynsky’s work shows how humans affect the environment and the consequences of that relationship in the midst of ecological destruction. The exhibition, sponsored by 3Rivers, will run from Aug. 24 to Sept. 17 and is a partnership with Franklin Electric and Jonathan and Sea Grandon. For more information, email creative arts@sf.edu.

Alumni Awards will kick off festivities on Thursday, with an SF Day of Service and Celebration on Friday, the football game and student art exhibit on Saturday and the St. Francis Drive Celebration on Sunday. For more information, email alumni@sf.edu.
Saint Francis Exhibition
October and November
This fall, the university will celebrate the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. In conjunction with SF homecoming weekend and the Feast of Saint Francis (Oct. 1-4), there will be a major exhibition of works devoted to the university’s patron saint. Highlights will include a solo exhibition of paintings from Assisi, Italy by renowned plein air artist Tom Keesee; paintings by Sister Rufinia (from the collection of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration) and cyanotypes using the waters of Mirror Lake by SF alumna Erin Patton-McFarren.
