Bio

Certified as a Senior HR Professional (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management, with over 30 years of experience with American Electric Power in Corporate Communications and Human Resources. Kirby holds B.A. degrees from Bethel College in Human Resources Management and Organizational Management, an EMBA degree from The University of Notre Dame, and is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Business AEP Management Development Program, the Michigan Business School HR Executive Program, and the AEP Leadership in Changing Times Program, and is currently Visiting Leadership & Management Lecturer at the University of Saint Francis.

A native of Kentucky, Susan and her family relocated to the Fort Wayne area over 20 years ago. She and her husband, Neal, are parents of six children.
