Dr. Susan Lown

Professor of Nursing

Bio

Professor Lown has been teaching nursing at SF since 2008. Her extensive teaching and professional experience demonstrate a strong commitment to providing the most effective educational experience for each student. Professor Lown’s dedication to service, leadership, and advocacy for students is exemplary.

Professor Lown practices home infusion nursing through Option Care Health and serves as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Infusion Nursing. Professor Lown has served as an American Red Cross Blood Program Leader since 2016, facilitating the collection of over 2000 units of blood for the local community. Professor Lown has been certified by the National League for Nursing as a Certified Nurse Educator since 2011. She recently earned her certification as a Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion through the Infusion Nurses Society Certification Corporation which is nationally recognized and accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification.
