Associate Professor of Nursing

Bio

Registered Nurse since 1986 working in the hospital clinic setting until 2013 where in academia as a nursing instructor teaching nursing assessment and fundamentals with excellent course evaluations. I currently teach Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Health Assessment Clinical, and DNP Project 1 at the University of St. Francis. I received the Outstanding Teaching Award in 2013-2014, Professor of the Month and Excellence in Education awards in 2017-2018. Twenty-six of my years in nursing were in maternal child health, 23 years’ experience in advanced practice nursing, educator, and leadership roles.  Specialized in low and high-risk obstetrics, mother/baby, neonatal and pediatric nursing. Management experience in perinatal office for high-risk pregnancy population. Excellent leadership and professional credentials. Teach fetal monitoring, breastfeeding, Baby Friendly, and various maternal/child and adult health classes to healthcare professionals.
