Dr. Caitlin Krouse

Associate Professor, Division of Nursing

Bio

Caitlin works vigorously at improving healthcare for vulnerable populations. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she volunteers weekly at Matthew 25 Health & Care as a primary care provider for uninsured patients who live in poverty. She serves on the Board of Directors for Alliance Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center for underserved patients. As the current Health Policy Director for the Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana, Caitlin advocates for increased access to high-quality healthcare. She is completing her post-graduate certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to increase the scope of services she can provide to patients. Caitlin has been recognized with awards from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Indiana State Nurses Association, and Fort Wayne’s 40 Under 40.

  • Co-wrote health policy legislation for the Indiana legislature related to healthcare issues.
