Assistant Professor of Nursing

Bio

Having worked extensively as an RN, clinical research coordinator and instructor, Danielle Short returns to her alma mater as an assistant professor of Nursing. Previous positions include work in peri-operative services, neuro-trauma, clinical research, the emergency department, and catheterization lab at Parkview Health, Lutheran Health and Dupont Hospital. She also worked as an instructor at Saint Francis and Manchester University (where she was named Teacher of the Year) and a clinical research coordinator at Lutheran Health.

In addition to a BSN from Saint Francis, Professor Short holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently completing a doctoral degree in Nursing Science from Indiana University.

Her areas of nursing research are focused on improving clinical outcomes and quality of life among those with autoimmune diseases.
