Brittany Straub

Assistant Professor of Education

Bio

Brittany Straub has teaching experience in secondary education, special education, and higher education.  She serves University of Saint Francis in the role of Assistant Professor of Education.  Brittany specializes in preparing pre-service teachers for the education field.  For example, she teaches education courses and special education courses for undergraduate students in the Division of Education as well as graduate students in the Transition to Teaching and Master’s programs.  She currently serves as Director of Master of Arts in Teaching and Transition to Teaching for secondary licensure.  Brittany enjoys spending time with family. Her preferred leisure activities include reading and being outdoors.  Brittany pursues research interests related to Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs).  Specifically, Brittany has studied how the EPP experience of early career special education teachers impacts their potential to experience burnout.
