Bio

Brittany Edlund, MHA, R.T.(R) is a Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and serves as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator of Radiologic Technology at the University of Saint Francis College of Health Sciences. She is a graduate of the same Radiologic Technology program in which she now teaches, having earned her Associate of Science degree prior to completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration.

Brittany brings a broad clinical and leadership background to her role, with experience in a Level II Trauma Center, orthopedic and urgent care settings, and community hospital imaging departments. Her professional experience also includes healthcare operations management, having served as a Clinic Manager, where she was recognized as Manager of the Year in 2019.

As Clinical Coordinator, Brittany oversees student clinical education across multiple affiliate sites, collaborating with technologists and clinical leaders to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences that align with program outcomes, accreditation expectations, and workforce needs. She is dedicated to preparing students for professional practice through an emphasis on clinical competency, ethical decision-making, professional communication, and patient-centered care.

As an educator, Brittany is committed to active, student-centered, and experiential learning, integrating real-world clinical expectations into the classroom and laboratory. She prioritizes student mentorship, curriculum development, and instructional innovation, while remaining current with evolving imaging technology and clinical practice. Her teaching philosophy reflects the Franciscan values of service, respect, and compassion, with a focus on balancing efficiency with empathy in patient care.

Brittany maintains active professional involvement through membership in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, the Association of Educators in Radiologic Sciences, and the Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists.
