FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis is pleased to report 100% first-time pass rates in two levels of professional exams for nursing students.
All Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students in Fort Wayne who graduated in December 2025 passed the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) on their first attempt.
Likewise, 100% of Practical Nursing (LPN) students at the Leffler Academy of the University of Saint Francis in Gas City, Indiana, passed their NCLEX exams on first attempts.
“This accomplishment reflects the exceptional caliber of our nursing students, and we take immense pride in their steadfast dedication,” said Saint Francis Vice President for Workforce Development and Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Amanda Leffler. “We continually set the highest standards for them, and our students consistently exceed them.”
In addition, Leffler Academy of Saint Francis graduates earning an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) achieved first-time pass rates of 94% in Gas City and 92% in Crown Point, both achievements ranking above the national average.
The national first-attempt NCLEX-RN pass rate for U.S.-educated graduates has hovered between 82% and 86% in recent years, with the rate varying by state, program type and year. For NCLEX-PN (practical nursing), the national first-attempt pass rate is typically 83 to 87% for U.S.-educated graduates.
