Saint Francis announces ‘Discover the Discovery Academy Day’

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis will host a free “Discover the Discovery Academy Day” event for those wanting to have fun and learn more about the Discovery Academy’s mission and youth programs.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center on campus, 2701 Spring Street. The event is open to families, students, educators and the public. While the event includes many free activities, some optional games and experiences are $5. Families who register and order tickets before April 20 will receive one free ticket. Register at calendar.sf.edu.

Attendees will experience the creativity, energy and collaboration that Discovery Academy campers experience each summer. There will be free arts and crafts, games, and an opportunity to meet Youth Program Director Devon Bond and the counselor team.

Optional, ticketed events include a slingshot competition, canoeing, interactive games and challenges and surprises.
