‘Figure Now’ art exhibit to open at Saint Francis

University of Saint Francis Creative Arts will present “Figure Now,” an exhibition of contemporary works on loan from Gallery Victor, Chicago. The exhibit will run from Oct. 6 through Nov. 19 at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center, 1014 Leesburg Road.

A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9 in the Rolland Center. It is free and open to the public.

Artwork includes:

“Silverstone Yellow Jasmine” by Michael Van Zeyl

“Peace Cadet” by Rose Freymuth Frazier

The exhibition focuses on artists who approach the human figure from abstraction to hyperrealism, from the traditional to the surreal. SF Creative Arts has partnered with Gallery Victory for several years, displaying a solo exhibition of works by Bruno Surdo and a group exhibition featuring Mary Borgman.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The gallery will be closed Oct. 16 to 19 during academic fall break.
