USF Crown Point honors students at scholarship luncheon

CROWN POINT, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis Crown Point honored students and scholarship donors today at the inaugural Scholarship Luncheon.

Councilman Andrew Kyres represented the City of Crown Point at the event, held on site at 12880 Mississippi Parkway.

“We congratulate our deserving students and offer appreciation again to our generous benefactors,” USF Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lance Richey said. “USF proudly awarded the initial Crown Point Lions Club Scholarship this year and we look forward to adding more scholarships to encourage and help Crown Point-area students pursue their chosen professions.”

Dr. Richey was also joined at the luncheon by USF Vice President for Institutional Advancement Ellen C. Paxton, USF Associate Vice President for Healthcare Relations and Dean of the College of Health Sciences Dr. Angie Harrell, USF Crown Point Assistant Dean Julie Gardner, Legacy Foundation President and CEO Kelly Anoe and Franciscan Health Foundation Director of Development Sr. Marilyn Oliver.

USF awarded more than $50,000 in endowed scholarships to USF Crown Point students. Overall, USF has awarded $597,530 endowed scholarships during the 2022-23 academic year.
