Aug. 4, 2020 FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis is pleased to introduce the inaugural class of graduates from its Nurse Anesthesia doctoral program. On Saturday, August 1, the class gathered at USF’s North Campus to receive the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a specialty in Nurse Anesthesia.
Graduates are Ashley George, Jennifer Hager, Jeffrey Henry, Brooke Huffman, Lori Jackson, Natalya Kollektsionova, Mirsad Maglajlic, David Mansfield, Sara Saylor and David Wright.
Introduced in the fall of 2017, the 36-month Nurse Anesthesia program requires students to perform a minimum of 2,000 operating room hours and log 600 cases spanning each specialty area, such as open heart, thoracic, obstetrical and pediatric surgery.
The program—USF’s first doctoral degree program—is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
