Craig Teetsel named USF Vice President for Finance

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – University of Saint Francis President Rev. Dr. Eric Albert Zimmer announced today that Craig Teetsel has been named Vice President for Finance. Teetsel will also become part of President’s Cabinet.

“We are pleased to have Craig become part of the leadership of the University of Saint Francis,” Fr. Zimmer said. “He brings a strong background in finance and is already a valuable part of the USF community with his commitment to our Catholic, Franciscan values.”

Teetsel, a native of Fort Wayne, has been with USF since 2011 and will begin his new position on Aug. 24. He has served as USF Controller since 2013. Prior to that, he was USF Director of Financial Reporting.

“I’m excited to join the leadership team of the university and work closely with Fr. Zimmer to continue moving USF forward,” Teetsel said. “I’m honored to be a part of USF’s impact in changing students’ lives and helping them make a difference in their communities.”

Teetsel earned a Master of Business Administration from USF in 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2003. Prior to joining USF, he worked with Lincoln Financial Group; BKD, LLP; and International Truck and Engine. Teetsel’s volunteer work includes serving as board treasurer for GiveHear and finance committee chair for Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church. He is a member of Financial Executives International. Teetsel and his wife Ruby have two sons, Lincoln and Vincent.

Founded in 1890 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, the University of Saint Francis offers more than 60 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs through the College of Health Sciences, College of Arts, Sciences, and Business and College of Adult and Distance Education.
