USF Invites Public to Leave Mark on Construction Projects

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis is inviting the public to leave their mark on two campus construction projects. On January 31, the community is invited to visit the USF campus, 2701 Spring Street, and sign two of the beams to be placed on the Achatz Hall of Science and Research Center renovation as well as the free-standing St. Francis of Assisi Chapel.
The construction projects were launched in July 2017 and have reached the crucial milestone when these beams in the structure are ready to be placed, signaling the final phase of framing for both structures.
To thank the community for their ongoing support, the university wants everyone to have the chance to be part of these projects by adding their names to the beams before they are permanently installed in the two buildings.
“We are just so grateful and blessed to be part of this wonderful community,” said USF President Sister Elise Kriss. “We want to share this remarkable achievement for our university with those who have supported our students for so many years. I am honored to put my name on these structures and even more honored to have the chance to share this opportunity with our friends and neighbors.”
The beams will be on display and available for signing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 31, near the construction site, just outside the Pope John Paul II Center.
