The University of Saint Francis, a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition, is seeking our next Director of Institutional Research. Applicants should possess the following technical and analytical knowledge and skills:
- SQL proficiency for report writing using tools such as Envision, Argos or Insights;
- Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Survey design and analysis (e.g., NSSE, IPEDS, custom instruments)
- ERP and SIS reporting (Colleague/CRM Recruit/Advance, Workday, Common Data Set, US News/College Board, etc.)
- IPEDS and state/federal compliance reporting
In addition, the successful candidate will possess a knowledge of issues in enrollment and retention data analysis, be familiar with and committed to the ethical practices in data governance, integrity enforcement and data privacy laws, e.g., FERPA, and able to prioritize projects, work collaboratively across campus and supervise one staff member within the office of Institutional Research.
Preferred qualifications for the position include a Master’s degree in a field such as Higher Education, Education, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Behavior or Social Sciences or Management, three years of experience within the field and knowledge of a broad spectrum of regional and national issues in higher education as well as federal and state mandated reporting. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields with significant professional experience will also be considered.
