Summer Day Camp

YMCA, Fort Wayne, IN Seeking Education, Arts, and Physical Education majors. Position: Day Camp Counselor I Pay: $8.00 hourly. Branch: Southeast / Old Fort YMCA . Requirements: Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills, excellent human relations skills, enthusiasm, excellent attendance record, certification in CPR and First Aid (within 30 days of hire), Training in Child Abuse Prevention - within 30 days of hire, YMCA new employee orientation (within 30 days of hire.) A high level of organization, flexibiility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively and possess values relative to the YMCA mission, plus a warm and friendly personality with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, children, and school personnel. Duties include leading, demonstrating, and / or participating in indoor / outdoor sports and activities for a sustained period of time. Will frequently be required audibly to address large groups of people in indoor and outdoor settings.
