26-Jan | Goshen General Hospital 2010 Student Nurse Extern Program | Goshen General Hospital's Student Nurse Extern program is a nine week summer schedule designed to be an extension of a nursing student's formal education. Students have the opportunity to take part in the continuity of patient care, nursing staffing, and nurse to patient ratios. A registered nurse preceptor oversees the nursing student and provides professional clinical guidance during the program. Eligibility requirements: student must currently be enrolled in good standing in a nursing program, be in their junior or senior year of nursing school, able to work 32 - 40 hours weekly for the summer, and be CPR cerified.
