Nursing

The LPN-ASN program recognizes and gives credit for previous education as a licensed practical nurse. Advantages of becoming a registered nurse include expanded nursing knowledge and skill, greater career mobility, increased employment opportunities, and increased income.

The Associate of Science in Nursing is offered as a two-year associate degree program and a mobility program for the licensed practical nurse to earn an RN. After completing the program, graduates are eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is offered as a four-year bachelor degree program. After completing the program, graduates are eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Graduates of the BSN program are prepared for entry level nursing practice in clinically oriented environments.

Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant program is a CAPTE Accredited two-year curriculum consisting of four semesters leading to an Associate of Science degree. The program emphasizes academic knowledge while offering hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings.

Radiologic Technology

The Radiologic Technology program offers a two-year curriculum leading to an Associate of Science degree. The program consists of four semesters and two summer sessions. It is based upon the curriculum recommended by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, which is recognized in the Standards for an Accredited Educational program in Radiologic Sciences.

Surgical Technology

The Associate of Science in Surgical Technology program is comprised of a mix of general education courses, professional courses, laboratory and clinical sessions. This is unique in that the student participates in clinical practice in actual operating rooms during all four semesters. The academic emphasis as well as consistent exposure to the surgical environment prepares the student well for a career as a surgical technologist. After graduation from this CAAHEP accredited program, students are eligible for the National Examination for the Certified Surgical Technologist.

Health Services

The Bachelor of Science in Health Services is designed to provide career advancement for associate degree graduates who have completed the basic preparation in a health profession discipline. The curriculum includes courses in management, human resources, accounting, marketing, economics, and current issues in healthcare to prepare leaders for healthcare facilities, government agencies, private practices, managed care facilities, and healthcare-related businesses.
