Master of Science in Psychology

The Master’s of Science in Psychology is designed to provide students with a fundamental background in psychology.

Requirements

In addition to the general graduate entrance requirements, the applicant for the Psychology program must:

  • Submit a concise, typed, two-page statement of his/her professional goals, including why he/she wishes to seek a degree in Psychology. One could also include specific training objectives and long-term career goals following graduation
  • Submit two recommendations (on forms supplied by the Office of Admissions), preferably one from an employer or supervisor who has observed the applicant in a professional setting, and one, if appropriate, from a former college professor

Applicant selection will be based upon the following (listing not prioritized):

  • An undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent thereof
  • Applicant's psychology background must include the following: general psychology, statistics, personality, abnormal, computer literacy, and six hours in developmental psychology
