Providing Powdered Infant Formula to Vulnerable Malnourished Haitian Life.

Building an Orphanage

After four years of providing the entire supply of formula for a small orphanage in Haiti through the Formula for Life Run/Walk and Silent Auction, the Formula for Life team has taken on an even more impressive project - building a larger orphanage, increasing the capacity from 24 to 40. It will take just $50,000 to buy the land and build the orphanage. Give online, select Formula for Life.

Cortney Shepard, a 2009 biology graduate of University of Saint Francis, put together the effort to start a formula drive and to raise money to contribute to the purchase of infant formula and vitamins.  It was after Cortney had participated in a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic that she came up with the idea of raising money and collecting formula to help out the needy in Haiti.
