| Austin Smogor elected as president of Alumni Cabinet |
Austin Smogor, who earned a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance from Saint Francis in 2019, was elected president of the Alumni Cabinet.
Smogor is a client executive with Hylant in Fort Wayne, providing insurance solutions for small business owners across the Midwest. He was a member of the football team during several record-setting seasons during his time at Saint Francis.
Smogor expressed his excitement about serving as Alumni Cabinet president in a LinkedIn post.
“Much appreciation goes to Tyler Speigl for extending the initial invite to attend my first meeting last year,” Smogor wrote. “I hop on any opportunity to serve the school that got me to where I am today, but I felt such a strong draw to this cabinet, and the impact we have to create a campus that is ‘arms wide open’ to its alumni.
“I look forward to working with the current cabinet, along with (Director of Alumni Relations) Tony Didier, on not only continuing the growth of the cabinet, but also keeping Saint Francis warm and welcoming to Alumni.”
