2024 Alverno Lecture: What makes a University Catholic? Why Saint John Henry Newman’s Idea of a University Matters
April 9

Kenneth Parker, Ph.D. and chair of the Department of Catholic Studies at Duquesne University, will address the public Tuesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Brookside Ballroom. Professor Parker will explore how Newman can inform the future of Catholic higher education. This is a free event. For more information, contact John Bequette at jbequette@sf.edu or 260-399-8122.


2024 Commencement
May 4

This year’s Commencement will take place Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Baccalaureate Mass is at 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The Commencement speaker will be Greg Erlandson, former editor-in-chief and director of Catholic News Service. The Honorary Degree Recipient will be Meg (Klingenberger) Distler, executive director of the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation. Access the news release.


Homecoming Weekend
Sept. 27-29
