After USF acquired the Fort Financial Credit Union (FFCU) building on Spring Street, renovations began and included installing new flooring, connecting to the USF Wi-Fi network, painting and reorganizing the building. Departments that will move to that location include the Business Office, Information Technology, Institutional Research and Effectiveness, Registrar, Risk Management, Security, and Facilities and Events. These moves take some office functions out of Trinity Hall and replace them with student engagement spaces. This move reflects USF’s efforts to ensure current and future students achieve success and a heightened campus experience.
Over the years, the bond between USF and FFCU, which opened in 1978, has remained strong. As neighbors, it has been natural for USF employees to benefit from the convenience of the FFCU banking opportunities, the financial literacy programs their staff provides to our students and additional parking space the location offers on busy game days.
FFCU’s new headquarters on Lima and Wallen Roads provides the space they need to expand their services and products to meet the needs of their membership. The location includes the corporate headquarters, a full-service branch and an exterior ATM. It opened on Jan. 3.
