Brookside illuminated with luminaries around Mirror Lake during the Christmas season

A SAVIOR IS BORN!

Let the candles in the castle windows, the shining Christmas trees and the shimmering lake bear witness to the Nativity of Jesus Christ coming alive on our campus.

As we celebrate The Gift at our annual Christmas at USF tradition, rejoice with us at many activities exploring the awe and wonder of the season.

Children looking at a lighted luminary

  • Sunday, December 4 at 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • St. Francis Chapel and Mirror Lake

Petting zoo begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the blessing of luminaries dedicated to those who are special at 6 p.m. Immediately following the blessing, members of our University community will portray the Living Nativity. This special event honors the Christmas creche tradition begun by St. Francis in 1223, which reenacts the birth of Christ. End the evening with complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center.

Place a luminary order or contact Willie Romero at [email protected] or 260-399-8033 with questions or visit saintfrancis.givingfuel.com/lights.
