At the University of Saint Francis, our strong Catholic identity and Franciscan values have been at the heart of our institution since its founding in 1890. Our mission is simple: to bring together a diverse community in a shared commitment to learning, leadership, and service, all grounded in the rich traditions of Catholicism and Franciscan ideals.
The Locations
The University of Saint Francis offers accessible, career-focused education across multiple Indiana locations: a vibrant main campus in Fort Wayne with diverse academic programs and student life; Regional Healthcare Program sites in Crown Point and Lafayette providing hands-on training near Franciscan Health facilities; the Gas City site, the original home of Leffler Academy, extending our healthcare education to East Central Indiana; and the Indianapolis area, where students complete a hybrid surgical technology program through online classes, Greenwood labs and local clinical placements.

At Saint Francis, we are driven by a strong sense of purpose rooted in our partnership with the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, who appoint our university president. This collaborative effort, in close coordination with our dedicated Board of Trustees, shapes our long-term strategies to best serve our students.
