Our
student Social Work Organization provides positive
experiences for students by fostering connections and
support among social work majors, encouraging
sponsorship of various community projects and
humanitarian activities, and by increasing students’
knowledge of social work issues and practices through
networking, communications, and conference attendance.

SWO Mission
Our goal is to
set a standard of action in students that bridges the distance
between people through volunteerism and service to the
community.
Accreditation
The BSW Program
is fully accredited by the
Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Reaffirmation of
accredited status was last granted in June 2003 and our next
review will be in 2011. CSWE is the nationally recognized
institution that defines the nature of our work, our program,
and our academic and practice-oriented goals. Our accredited
status enhances our graduates' entry to the social work
profession and increases students' potentials of seeking
advanced standing status as they apply for graduate studies in
social work.
